Cute Scrap Ablum

not sure if I'm going to make it but it is a cool idea.


Well it's sunny so far today and I had a good nights sleep. My Hubby brought home the last 2 bookshelves so now he just has to put them together and then I will have a shelves for my fabric and I can get it all straighten out so I can see everything.

I've been getting the fabric together for my last Sunbonnet Sue block, she has a dress made like the Dresden plate block. So I have to make a template and cut them out then machine sew them together, then hand applique the rest of her. I can't wait to get it done so I can put the blocks together.

I also got the heat and bond I needed to do a Kitty block swap at Quilts Your Way Forum. I'm going to be machine appliqueing them.

Tomorrow I have to go to my Fiber Artits and Applique group at my LQS, I'll be there all day. We are doing Photo transfer in the Fiber Artists and circles and yoyo's in the Applique group. I can't wait.

Raining today

Well, it's raining today and I'm not doing anything much, been checking on my online groups and posting some stuff. Hope to feel better tomorrow.

Happy Summer

I can't believe that it's Summer already. Boy, does time fly. I haven't been doing well all Spring so hopefully the Summer will be better for me. I have tons of sewing to do but just can't seem to get up enough energy to cut out the blocks for sewing. All my fabric is a mess right now and I can't seem to find anything. Maybe if I straighten it out it would help. Monday I'm supposed to get some more bookshelves, and I want to use one of them to put my fabric in so I can see it better. Right now it's in boxes and a laundry basket. I think it will help a lot once I get that done.
I have a couple of UFO's to finish and I have to clean and oil my sewing machines. I have 2. One I'm using for piecing blocks , it's a brother LS-2125 and the other is an old Kenmore that will sew through anything so I will be using that for machine quilting.

I also have to work some more on my Sunbonnet Sue blocks I'm doing those by Hand Applique.
The one thing about this Summer that is great is I don't have to get up at 5:30 am anymore because my DD graduated this past May. So, I've been sleeping in till 10am and going to bed about 2am every night. I'm normally a night person so this helps. But it's hard to get anything sewing done a night because my DD takes over the computer at night and the computer and sewing machine are in the same room, so mostly at night I do applique or Cross stitch.

Cross Stitch Teddy

This is a cross stitch bear I did for the 12-P Round Robin I'm in with a group on Yahoo. I do alot of cross stitch at night when I'm watching TV.

Blue Furry Fabric Challenge Minni Quilt

This is the label and minni quilt I made for a challenge. The teddybear is made from the blue furry fabric. I didn't win but it was fun.

This is the Summer wall hanging I'm made with my Country Quilter's group. We met this past Wednesday and did the fusible applique and the background and flower fabric border. Next month we are doing the prairie points and the backing. I did mine alittle different than the one above. I also used colored pencils to detail the flowers and the leaves and I also place everything differently than the picture. The bottom picture is what is on the pattern package.

Next week. I'm going to my Fiber Artist and Applique Groups. We are doing photo transfer in the FA and circles and Yo Yo's in the Applique. It's a whole day at my LQS, we usually bring a lunch because FA is from 10 am to 12 pm then AA is 2pm to 5pm.

This September I get to go to my first big Quilt Show. I'm going with the ladies in my quilt guild and we are going on a bus. I can't wait. I will take lots of pictures for you all to see.
